Due to Earth no longer being inhabitable by humans, mankind has chosen to seek another place to live. That place is "Zyslo".

The planet is scientifically proven to be livable in, sharing multiple commonalities with Earth. However, there's a small issue: we do not know its history.

In search of answers, humans decided to start project "Throwback". Throwback is about sending a robot back in time to year -1200 to gather information. Information is stored on the robot, and objects must be photographed. This is done to collect higher-quality data.

As you have been selected to take part in this important government mission, failure results in immediate death.

Please note that the web version has two bugs: music doesn't change and inconsistent movement (trying to emulate 15 FPS). Those are bugs I do not currently have any solution for.

Awesome game! I wish it did fullscreen or otherwise locked keys, though, since up/down makes window scroll, but the actual game is sick! Opening the iframe by itself helps: https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/6978240/index.html

Hello, you should be able to fullscreen using the F key in the browser. Glad you enjoyed!

This is really cool, I love how you've used the low resolution limit to your advantage with the noisy video feed. Whenever the video would clear up a new object would appear which was really nice.

Incredibly atmospheric and tense game. I was on my toes the entire time. I also like the premise. It seems heavily inspired by Iron Lung. The low framerate, camera glitchyness, low-poly aesthetic really sells the idea that we shouldn’t be where we are (I think the inconsistent movement is a good thing :)

It would have been nice to have some sort of radar. Because I spent a very long time wandering around and looking for the last landmark.

Glad you enjoyed it! A radar was in the plans but sadly I ran out of time…
